Kidney stones can cause severe debilitating pain in the kidney and when urinating. And if ignored, it can cause further kidney damage. 1. Barley water

Barley water is believed to be one of the most common natural cures for kidney stones. This is because it contains a lot of dietary fiber, which helps in reducing the excretion of calcium in the urine. 2. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is ultimately a type of fluid that will only increase your fluid intake. It prevents the toxins from being flushed from the body and the crystals from forming stones.

How to take it: Squeeze a medium sized lemon and squeeze the juice into a glass. Fill it up with water to the brim. Add one teaspoon sugar.   Do not add much sugar. You can drink at least 5-6 cups of lemon juice a day to prevent kidney stone problems.

3. Pomegranate juice

What if you drink a glass of pomegranate juice daily? Well, it not only keeps the kidneys healthy but also reduces the risk of developing kidney stones in an at-risk person. However, if you are already suffering from kidney stones, it may help you get rid of them naturally (with medication). Pomegranate juice contains polyphenols, which are antioxidants that protect the body against harmful free radicals. It also lowers the acidic level of urine, which also lowers the risk of stone formation and prevents kidney stones from becoming larger stones.

Instructions: Take a medium sized pomegranate and remove the seeds. Add it to juicer to extract juice. Using a strainer, strain it to obtain a clear liquid. Drink this juice every day as it works as an excellent home remedy for kidney stones. For effective results it is recommended to drink freshly prepared pomegranate juice. Pomegranate juice can be used in its place.

4. Water

It goes without saying that hydration is key to a healthy body, especially your kidneys. Your daily water intake is met. Also, increasing water intake helps wash away existing stones. Moreover, it also reduces the chances of stone formation and plays an important role in keeping the kidneys healthy and helps you fight against kidney stones naturally.

How to take it: People with kidney stones are advised to drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water daily. It is better to drink plain water to get its benefits. However, you can also add flavoring agents like lemon or mint leaves to improve the taste and drink enough water during the day to keep your kidneys healthy.

5. Basil tea

How to take: You can drink a glass of Tulsi tea on empty stomach. If you are a tea drinker, you can mix a few tulsi leaves in a cup of boiling water to treat kidney stones naturally. You can chew tulsi leaves first thing in the morning after brushing your teeth as it boosts immunity and helps you stay healthy.
